Sarah Ferguson Wrote Letter to 'Force of Nature' King Charles Despite Bitter Royal Lodge Feud
Sarah Ferguson has revealed the letter she wrote to King Charles III, thanking him for being a "force of nature fighting for nature."
The former Duchess of York shared the insight on the recent episode of her podcast, "Tea Talks with the Duchess and Sarah."
Ferguson also enclosed a picture of her granddaughter, Sienna Mozzi, Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi's child. She shared on the audio program that the 22-month-old loves the environmentally-themed playground, Adventure Play, in Windsor Great Park. The play area was the idea the King developed during his time as Prince of Wales.
"I thought that’s just so sweet — they say out of the mouths of babies, well out of the mouths of young people — enjoying the vision that the King had all those years ago, and it’s come to fruition. It’s just really special ... Apparently, the best thing she loved was the little zip wire for two-year-olds — sweet!" Ferguson gushed.
The Duchess' kind words for Charles III come amid the ongoing feud between the monarch and her ex-husband, Prince Andrew, over their home, Royal Lodge. The playground is near the opulent property the Duke of York has leased from the Crown Estate since 2003.
It was reported that the King had backed off his efforts to have his brother evicted from the estate due to Ferguson's diagnosis of b----- cancer and subsequent mastectomy in June. Now that she has fully recovered from the successful surgery, some royal analysts are saying the rift is back on.
"Charles is not chucking Andrew out, but Andrew will have to find the money to look after the property himself — and where is that coming from?" an insider close to the York duo told an outlet. Numerous sources are coming forward to expose the King's attempt to boot his sibling from the property as futile.
"The lease is in the duke’s name, so no one can take that away from him. It has never been suggested that it could be taken away from him. It’s a long lease ... This is a lease between him and the Crown Estate. That’s not a matter for the king," a friend of the disgraced Duke shared.
