Samantha Markle's Dire Warning to Meghan Markle: 'When Dad Goes, It Will Be Too Late'
Samantha Markle, 59, warned her estranged half-sister, Meghan Markle, 43, about their father, Thomas Markle's deteriorating health.
The 80-year-old former filmmaker has suffered from heart attacks and a stroke in recent years, which led Samantha to share "when Dad goes, it will be too late," for the former actress to make amends.
The author, who battles multiple sclerosis, added how "Meghan has no idea what she is missing out on," when their dad eventually passes away. "Believe me, I know. You can’t get back that time. It leaves a hole in your heart," Samantha continued.
Furthermore, the candid scribe expressed disbelief at how Meghan has treated the British royal family, of whom she is still a senior member.
"I don’t know the royal family," she further observed. "I’m just a human, watching from across the pond, but I couldn’t believe it… My dad doesn’t want Meghan to pay him back. But you want love from them because there is a pain in your heart if it isn’t there."
The Duchess of Sussex, along with Prince Harry, left the monarchy in early 2020, which some analysts believe was part of a "master plan" the ex-actress had formulated "before she even met her prince."
"She’s done what she did to her own family to so many other people, too," Samantha stated. "I knew my dad had suffered, but I thought she would stop at the queen. If you accept an olive branch, you are asking to be hurt again. I think that would be weird. It would be hard to trust that she was doing it for the right reasons."
Thomas has a supporter in outspoken British aristocrat, author and royal expert Lady Colin Campbell. The scribe behind 2020's bestseller Meghan and Harry: The Real Story began a fundraiser in July to help the ailing, former TV lighting technician as he has been largely "abandoned."
"Many people have suggested that I spearhead this fundraiser to meaningfully note Thomas Markle Sr’s 80th birthday," Campbell wrote on Thomas' GoFundMe page she created.
"He has been exceedingly generous with his time and money over the years, as I have learnt from the teachers at his daughter’s school, who could not sing his praises highly enough," the author added.
Campbell then went on to praise Thomas' character and stated: "His kindness and generosity are well known in the film community, and I agree that now that he has been rejected and abandoned by the daughter, those of us who wish to show him solidarity and give him the acknowledgment he should be getting from the actual recipient of his largesse, will hopefully, through our contributions, no matter how small, demonstrate to him that there are still people in the world with good hearts, good values, and good intentions."
The New York Post reported on Samantha's plea.
