Royal Expert Reveals Why Meghan Markle Dumped Her 'Loyal' Friends After Moving to US: "They Change..."

Meghan Markle has 'outgrown' her old friends. After leaving the royal fold in 2020 and shifting to Montecito, California, the Duchess of Sussex has adopted a new social circle and rebranded herself as a serial entrepreneur. “People who value growth and personal development often grow out of friends and connections over the years, as they change to the point that they no longer have much in common with old friends,” Kate Mansfield, a relationship expert told the Mirror. The Suits actress was previously close with the Beckhams, Piers Morgan, Millie Mackintosh, Jessica Mulroney, and childhood friend Ninaki Priddy.
“This can be down to different values, lifestyles, and interests,” Mansfield added. “All of which profoundly and most certainly apply to Meghan’s journey into becoming a royal.” Fox News Digital reported that envy is the true cause of the conflict between the Beckhams and the Duchess of Sussex. "Ultimately, I believe it was envy that caused the fallout," royal expert, Kinsey Schofiel, stressed. "We certainly have examples of Meghan accusing Victoria of leaking stories to the press when it was actually a salon receptionist with a pair of loose lips, but I think it all boils down to jealousy today."
British broadcaster and photographer, Helena Chard, too opined that Markle is perhaps jealous of Victoria Beckham's rising career. She asserted, "I'm sure Meghan aspires to the Beckhams' successful lavish lifestyle and is slightly jealous of Victoria's fame and success." Beckham's The House of VB Netflix docuseries is expected to air later this year while Markle's new lifestyle brand 'American Riviera Orchard' stands in limbo. To make matters worse, stylist Jessica Mulroney, who introduced Markle to elite social circles has also been canceled. The Toronto-based fashion icon was once considered Markle's closest confidante but was soon dumped over her alleged display of 'White privileges'.
According to Page Six, an insider revealed, “Meghan has forsaken her most loyal friend just to look woke.” Mulroney was taken aback that the ex-royal did not defend her during her online altercation with a lifestyle blogger. The controversy blew up when Canadian blogger Sasha Exeter accused the famed stylist of displaying 'textbook White privilege'. “Jessica’s team has made it clear that she feels completely ditched by Meghan and fears she is going to cut her out of her life for good,” the insider added. “It’s a brutal blow after a 10-year friendship. Jessica has been there for Meghan through thick and thin.”

The Duchess has however remained on close terms with her wedding dress designer, Clare Waight Keller. Markle has openly supported Keller's capsule brand, 'Uniqlo: C'. “Her pieces for the brand have movement and modern grace,” Markle told The New York Times. In February People magazine reported that the pair were seen enjoying lunch at Cipriani Beverly Hills right after Uniqlo dropped its second collection. Markle has also forged a close bond with hair colorist Kadi and author Cleo Wade, who were seen celebrating the Duchess' birthday in 2023.
As per the Daily Mail, an adorable picture of the trio was shared on Instagram by Kadi with the message: "Belated birthday celebrations with these lovely muses." The celebrity hairdresser, who owns the salon 'Highbrow Hippie' in Venice, California, is often seen posting Markle's hair transformations. Meanwhile, Wade is engaged to Simon Kinberg, an Oscar-nominated filmmaker who has written for the X-Men franchise and produced Deadpool and The Martian.
