Resurfaced Clip of Meghan Markle Refusing to Let Woman Stand Next to Harry Has Fans Saying the Same Thing

Meghan Markle is no stranger to public scrutiny. A resurfaced video from a polo match has only added fuel to the fire to her already tattered image. In the viral clip, Markle awkwardly redirects a woman to stand beside her instead of allowing her to pose next to Prince Harry. This prompted a flurry of reactions online. As per the Daily Mail, Markle was attending a polo game of Harry on April 12, 2024, in support of his Sentebale charity. The match was held at the Grand Champions Polo Club in Wellington, Florida. When Harry and his team won, Markle was welcomed on stage to present the award. Things however took an awkward turn. During the trophy presentation ceremony, while celebrating the team’s victory, Markle taking note of the woman, rudely instructed her to move away from Harry. The Duchess kept her hands tightly wound around Harry's waist, refusing to let anyone stand beside her husband for the photo.

As a clip of the same went viral online, a royal watcher slammed on X, “She is so insecure. They both wanted their privacy but yet, always making sure they are front and center in the public eye.” Another echoed, “Wow she's really rude to that lady.” In a similar vein, a critic chimed, “He can’t even pose with his trophy and his team! Bossy Lady Duchess!”

Royal fans also questioned why Markle was even invited onstage—if she was the right guest of honor for a polo match award ceremony. A person noted, “Why is she there and not the other wives?” Another netizen slammed, “Didn't she learn from the last time she barged up on stage at trophy time? Where are the other spouses??” However, others came to the defense of Markle. An individual joked, “My man ain’t a prince but you are not coming close to him either😂😂😂. They accused her of upstaging the event yet again, forcing herself on the stage.
