Arriving in style! The royal looked happy as a clam when she pulled up to the building.
"Queen Máxima pays a working visit to the Friends Services Foundation in Deventer. The organization is the winner of one of the three Apples of Orange 2021 of the Orange Fund. Stichting Vriendendiensten received the award for the self-governing centers for people with a mental vulnerability," a message on Instagram read of the outing.
"The self-governing centers in Deventer and Raalte were created on the initiative of a group of mental health clients who wanted their own place to reshape their lives together. There are, among other things, creative activities, discussion groups and recovery courses and there is cooking and eating together. All activities are set up and performed by the visitors themselves," the note continued.
"Queen Máxima talks to the initiators, staff and relevant organizations about the creation of the self-governing centers, the activities and about the regional developments and partnerships. She also talks to visitors about what the activities mean to them and how they build a network and a safety net through the center," the message concluded.
That same day, the Queen was photographed at the opening of the national supercomputer in Amsterdam.
"Queen Máxima opens the national supercomputer Snellius. Scientists need more and more computing power and data storage and processing capabilities for their research," a caption on Instagram read. "This new supercomputer offers 10 times as much computing power as its predecessor."
"The supercomputer is suitable for all fields of science and uses water cooling technology. This requires less air cooling with fans, which reduces energy consumption and at the same time increases performance. Snellius, like the current supercomputer Cartesius, will be in the Amsterdam Data Tower at the Amsterdam Science Park," the note continued about the device. "During the opening, the general guidelines for the control of the coronavirus will be observed."
Looks like the Queen is just one busy bee!
