The mom-of-two wore a Massimo Dutti long sleeve dress, which featured a cute bow, for the event. She also sported a long white coat by Spanish fashion designer Felipe Varela to keep warm.
Letizia also made sure to accessorize her outfit by wearing matching shoes from Spanish brand Magrit and a pair of Bvlagari white gold and diamond earrings.
For his part, Felipe wore a gray striped suit with a pink tie and brown shoes. The couple presented an award to an outstanding writer in the Spanish language.
In addition to celebrating reading and literature, the work of Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra — who is best known for his novel Don Quixote — is remembered on April 23.
Of course, the duo wore face masks during their visit.
One day earlier, the parents brought along their two daughters, Princess Leonor, 15, and Infanta Sofia, 13, to an event.
Waving to the people!
On April 22, the foursome was photographed visiting the launching ceremony of Submarine S-81 Isaac Peral at the Navantia shipyard in Cartagena, Spain.
King Felipe wore his naval uniform, while Letizia wore a gray dress. Princess Leonor wore a white coat with a patterned dress, while Infanta Sofia wore a red frock with black flats.
Not too long ago, Princess Leonor attended her first solo engagement, visiting the Cervantes Institute in Madrid in honor of their 30th anniversary celebrations.
In 2018, Princess Leonor delivered her first public address, and that same year, her father bestowed the Order of the Golden Fleece, making her the youngest female in modern history to receive the award.
