Catherine, Princess of Wales, is earning widespread admiration for how she is handling her role as a future queen, a mother and a wife while fighting off cancer at the age of 42. The next Queen Consort has "always been firm yet gentle" in how she approaches her royal role, and this even involved staring down the late Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles in 2015.

"[Kate] established some fundamental life rules that she would stick to when she joined The Firm," royal author Robert Jobson wrote in his new book Catherine, the Princess of Wales: A Biography of the Future Queen.

Kate Middleton 'prioritizes' her family before royal duty, which is a new and unprecedented style of behavior in the British monarchy.

"Her 'terms' were in fact presented to Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles… She was clear from the outset that she would not be pigeon-holed into carrying out particular duties… her priority, she emphasized, would always be her family," he added.

The scribe and commentator further observed: "The royal couple will of course carry out their fair share of royal duties, but they both believe that being good parents is their most important role."

The princess was pregnant with Princess Charlotte at the time of this reported encounter. The Princess of Wales has "meticulously" performed her royal role for over 13 years, and numerous royal analysts point out how she has "never once faltered" even during the worst years of "Megxit."

The Duchess of Sussex and Princess of Wales have 'not spoken in years.'

Meghan Markle and Kate reportedly "haven't spoken in years" due to a feud "just as toxic as William and Harry's," according to a palace insider. Although recent reports reflect that the Duchess of Sussex is "feeling remorseful" about their long-running dislike of one another, royal expert Hilary Fordwich shared that the ex-actress "has a long way to go for Kate" to even consider reconciliation.

If reports are to be believed, the ex-actress and royal-turned-dog biscuit manufacturer is all in her feelings about Kate's cancer struggle. She also feels remorseful about the feud that has raged between them since she asked to use Kate's lip gloss at an event in early 2018.

"Harry is more willing to move on, let’s just say that," another Sussex insider told an outlet. "It’s not a case of Meghan being difficult, she genuinely feels hurt and would like some kind of sit down to hash things through — but that’s not something the other side is willing to consider at this time."

Princess Kate wowed the crowds in purple for Wimbledon 2024.

Her critics continue to point to her prolonged absence as a sign of either "disillusionment" with royal life or even "laziness," as some commentators on X shared when comparing her "endless" recovery to King Charles's long-ago return to working duties after his own cancer diagnosis.
