Even though Princess Eugenie is part of the royal family, the 30-year-old shared the first photo of her son — whom she shares with husband Jacks Brooksbank — via Instagram!
“???!!” the brunette beauty simply captioned the black-and-white photo, which was posted to Eugenie’s account. In the sweet snap, the new parents are holding their little tot’s hand.
Of course, people sent their well-wishes to the new mama. One person wrote, “Huge congratulations! Welcome to another baby boy in the family,” while another added, “Congratulations!! Hope you and the baby boy are doing OK.”
A third user added, “Congratulations!!!! You all deserve every happiness!”
Earlier that day, the Palace confirmed Eugenie and Brooksbank welcomed their first child into the world.
"Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie was safely delivered of a son today, February 9 2021, at 8.55am at The Portland Hospital. Jack Brooksbank was present,” they wrote in a statement. “The baby weighs 8lbs 1oz.”
The statement continued, "The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Duke of York, Sarah, Duchess of York, and Mr. and Mrs. George Brooksbank have been informed and are delighted with the news. This is Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's first child, The Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York's first grandchild, and the ninth great-grandchild for The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well."
The newborn is 11th in line to the throne.
The pair announced in September that they were expanding their family. "Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr. Jack Brooksbank are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in early 2021,” the palace said at the time.
Just a few days ago, Eugenie made an appearance on a video chat call, where she wore minimal makeup and sported a black lace shirt — but managed to hide her baby bump.
One person wrote, “She is glowing,” while another echoed, “Eugenie is an absolute gem!”
A third user added, “Good luck on the delivery Eugenie, you will be the most amazing mum!”
