Princess Beatrice's New Chapter: Eldest York Daughter Set to Take on 'Unofficial' New Role in Royal Family After Welcoming Second Baby
Princess Beatrice, 36, is currently ninth in line for the British throne, and even though a "junior royal," with no state-funded security, the eldest child of Prince Andrew, 64, and Sarah Ferguson, 65, could be in line for a "major" new role representing both the monarchy and British government.
The princess is currently pregnant with her and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi's, 41, second child, and is likely set to take on the "unofficial" role of "a U.K. Ambassador" to the Middle East sometime after welcoming her baby.
Beatrice has recently increased her engagements in the Middle East, participating in significant conferences and events that highlight her interests in technology and innovation. In October, she attended the Future Investment Initiative in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, marking her second visit to the country this year.
During this event, she discussed topics such as artificial intelligence, expressing her enthusiasm by stating, "It's literally my favourite subject. I'm probably making it my whole life's mission to think about how hope and technology can kind of work in a collaboration mindset."
On November 4, the junior royal spoke at the ADIPEC Energy Conference in Abu Dhabi, where she emphasized the importance of inclusivity in the development of artificial intelligence. She advocated for "diverse voices in the AI sector," highlighting the need for collaboration between technology companies, energy providers and individuals from various backgrounds.
These activities have led to her being regarded as a "pseudo" Middle East Ambassador, as described by one royal insider. Her increased presence in the region coincides with a reduced number of visits by senior royals due to health setbacks, positioning her as a more accessible representative of the British monarchy.
Beatrice's professional background includes her role as Vice President of Partnerships & Strategy at Afiniti, a company specializing in artificial intelligence. She is also known for her philanthropic efforts, particularly in advocating for technology, dyslexia awareness and promoting compassion in the workplace.
Her father was tapped for a special trade envoy role by Tony Blair's government in 2001. He stayed in the position for a full decade and flew around the world to shore up potential deals for investment in British industries and commodities.
It is speculated that the prince's 2010 Central Park meeting with deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein led the David Cameron government to cancel the Duke's role within the Foreign Office. The timing of the meeting was roughly two years after Epstein had pleaded guilty to s-- charges with children.
In other news, royal baby fever is starting to pick up steam in Britain as Beatrice preps to "push her mummy mode" to the extreme. The princess will balance caring for her upcoming newborn and 3-year-old Sienna, with her wide array of duties.
Daily Express reported on Beatrice's new role.
