Princess Anne's condition is starting to ring royal alarm bells due to issues with her memory.

"What is worrying is Princess Anne," royal biographer Angela Levin told GBN. "Her husband went to see her and Zara Tindall went to see her in hospital, looking very anxious. I think it’s quite serious because she can’t remember anything about what happened."

Princess Anne is said to be experiencing minor memory impairments following her accident on June 23, 2024.

"For a woman of her age, over 70, you have to be very careful," Levin added when highlighting HRH's age of 73. "It does take a long time to recover, and here we are. We’ve got holes all over our wonderful royal family and not really the people to fill them up," she continued when pointing out Anne's position as Britain's hardest-working royal in King Charles III's unpopular "slimmed-down monarchy," which the princess once criticized.

"Well, I think the 'slimmed-down' [monarchy] was said in a day when there were a few more people around to make that seem like a justifiable comment," the Princess Royal shared during an interview before Charles III's coronation.

Levin further observed: "It's very, very difficult. We wish very much for Anne because she’s thought to be the hardest worker. She doesn’t complain, and she wants to do as much as she can for the King."

The Princess Royal at Garter Day, June 17, 2024.

As The Royal Observer previously reported, Buckingham Palace said of the hard-working HRH's accident: "The Princess Royal has sustained minor injuries and concussion following an incident on the Gatcombe Park estate yesterday evening," the message read. "Her Royal Highness remains in Southmead Hospital, Bristol, as a precautionary measure for observation and is expected to make a full and swift recovery. The King has been kept closely informed and joins the whole royal family in sending his fondest love and well-wishes to The Princess for a speedy recovery."

Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, Anne's spouse, briefly told reporters that "she’s doing fine, slow but sure," before adding that he had brought her: "Just a few little treats from home."

The Princess Royal continues to recover from her injuries at Southmead Hospital in Bristol.

King Charles III and Queen Elizabeth II in their official coronation portraits, 2023 and 1953, respectively.

It is believed that the King has envisioned a small unit of working royals during his reign, as far back as the 1990s. Queen Elizabeth II preferred not to "rock the boat" during her record-breaking time on the throne, which allowed the monarchy to operate as it has for hundreds of years. Since each new sovereign gets to shape their era, it is understood that Charles III is fully dedicated to taking a pair of scissors to many aspects of the institution.

Royal traditionalists are not at all happy about these changes, as they feel it diminishes what makes Britain's royal family unique on the world stage. Although the monarch is keeping many elements of pomp and pageantry, he is looking to cut down on how many family members represent the Crown on a full-time basis.
