Prince William and Prince Harry are both due to attend engagements in NYC in late September, with the Duke of Sussex partaking in the Big Apple's iteration of the Diana Awards, named after his and the heir to the throne's late mother, Diana, Princess of Wales.

Prince Harry and Prince William have been at odds for several years now.

GBN's royal correspondent Cameron Walker reported, "This is all happening at the same time that Prince William has an event in New York as well because tomorrow it's the Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit. That's Prince William's initiative to come up with solutions to repair the planets within a decade."

He added, "Prince William is not expected to be in New York, though it's not a deliberate avoidance of his brother, Prince Harry. It was always planned that he wouldn't be traveling." However, Cameron highlighted the 'coincidence' of both Princes advocating for their own respectable charitable causes, as well as their joint venture with the Diana Awards.

The future king showed up in person for the London staging of the awards in March, while Harry decided to appear via secure video link.

The California Duke told the crowd, "I’m sorry I can’t be there, I wish I could be there with you guys. Thank you very much for inspiring so many others and at the same time protecting my mother's legacy, I really appreciate that."

King Charles III and the Prince of Wales are set to 'fully ignore' the Duke of Sussex when he visits Britain on September 30, 2024.

But William's absence from the honors this week is a surprise to many since His Royal Highness "rarely ever" misses an opportunity to praise his mother's memory and legacy.

This led Walker to further add, "Nonetheless, the big coincidence is that both brothers support the Diana Awards, the charity that honors their mother's legacy, it's on different sides of the Atlantic, and trying to champion different causes."

"So perhaps some would see it as a bit of a shame that neither of them can be in the same country at the same time, but it's a clear point that they both seem to be focused very much on their individual charity work, and not getting distracted by the feud between them," the correspondent observed.

The Duchess of Sussex keeps her man 'on a tight leash.'

Other reports reflect how either Harry or Meghan Markle "always manage to upstage or interrupt any important work senior royals do."

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex both released videos before and during Prince William's in-person tribute to his late mother at the March ceremony. Shortly before the prizes were handed out, the Duchess of Sussex launched American Riviera Orchard on Instagram.

This was followed by the Duke of Sussex, with Meghan, dropping a video announcing the winner of their $100,000 NAACP — Archewell Foundation Digital Civil Rights Award, which timed with the Prince of Wales' speech.
