Please Stay Away: Prince William and Princess Kate 'Will Not See' Prince Harry in May as Future Queen Is 'Vulnerable' Due to Cancer
Prince William and Kate, Princess of Wales, will not be meeting with Prince Harry when he comes to London on May 8.
"They don’t speak to Harry and Meghan, and they are certainly not about to start when Catherine is at her most vulnerable," a friend of the Prince and Princess of Wales shared.
"Both sides understand each other's position clearly now," they added. "William and Catherine felt completely betrayed by Harry's memoir (Spare)."
This follows earlier reports suggesting the 39-year-old prince would "try hard" to connect with his brother and sister-in-law during the visit.
"Given Kate's cancer diagnosis, Harry will certainly make efforts to see his brother and Kate when he returns to the U.K. in May — if it happens at all, it's to be a very brief, carefully choreographed meeting and organized to last a short time so that the brothers can avoid any difficult conversations," royal author Tom Quinn told an outlet. "At the same time, Harry knows how it will look if he comes back to the U.K. and doesn't see his brother and Kate. It's going to be a very awkward time."
This meeting would come after Harry's "blink, and you'll miss it" meeting with King Charles III on February 6, following the monarch's cancer disclosure.
It has long been speculated that the "Fab Four," as they were nicknamed in 2018, actually despise one another. Shortly before her wedding to Harry in May of that year, Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex-to-be, had a spat with Kate, the then-Duchess of Cambridge, about Princess Charlotte's bridesmaid dress.
"That rift about the dress started a feud that has never been resolved," another royal insider claimed.
But those closest to the formerly "close-knit" siblings fully laid bare the state of the relationship.
"[Harry is] just another person who sold his story to the papers," a mutual friend of the royal brothers who has not spoken to Harry since he left Britain in 2020, told an outlet. "A 'get well soon' message is neither here nor there. But the whole situation doesn’t use up a huge amount of their mental energy anymore. William and Kate have accepted it and moved on. Cancer puts things in perspective. William respects his father’s wish to reconcile with his son, but his focus now is on protecting his family from stressful situations."
"Every time they turn around, Harry and Meghan have planted some new allegation against them or petty story," a palace insider spilled when discussing the future king and queen. "It is hard for them not to be able to defend themselves, but silence is always the best response."
The New York Post reported on the insider revelations.
