Safe Travels! Prince William & Kate Middleton Are Planning A Summer Family Vacation To Their Favorite Spot, Claims Insider
An insider shares all of the details on the family's getaway, which is much-needed after a rough few months.
After the chaos of 2020 and a rough start to 2021, Prince William and Kate Middleton have decided to get away from the drama with a fun family vacation!
"They keep talking about how they need a chance to relax and not think about anything," an insider spilled to Life & Style. "Really, the whole family needs a reset."
Things have been tough for the family: aside from Prince Harry's harsh words against them, they suffered a great loss when Prince Philip died on April 9.
According to the insider, the duo and their three kids — Prince George, 7, Princess Charlotte, 6, and Prince Louis, 3 — will be heading to the island of Mustique, one of their favorite spots.
"The sun, the beach, the lack of responsibility and the privacy ... it’s everything Kate, William and the kids crave!”
"The kids have friends who usually vacation there the same time as them, and they look forward to going every year," the insider added. "Going back this summer would be a welcome return to the way things were."
Lady Anne Glenconner has shared in the past that the family of five love visiting the warm-weather locale.
"I was on the airplane going out with them about two years ago, and I said, 'Colin would be so pleased that you love coming to Mustique,'" she recalled to Town & Country. "And they said, ‘Well, it's wonderful. The children absolutely adore it. Nobody bothers us. Nobody takes any notice of us."
While no date has been officially set, the insider claims they're likely to take off sometime after July 1, which is when the statue of Princess Diana is set to be unveiled.

For this trip, Kate's parents, George and Carole, may tag along, in addition to her sister, Pippa, her husband, James Matthews, and their 2-year-old son, Arthur.
"Kate’s brother, James, had to postpone his wedding again, so he’ll likely tag along, too," the insider dished. "A tropical getaway together should be just the thing to lift everyone’s spirits!"
