Kate Middleton and Prince William found the balance between their royal responsibilities and family life when the couple attended the final Wimbledon games on Sunday, July 16. The pair even brought along two special guests: Prince George,9, and Princess Charlotte, 8.
Despite the youngsters' age, the future working royals appeared to be focused and modeling both Kate and William's mannerisms.
A United Front
The sporting event was Charlotte's first time attending the tennis competition, but her little brother, Prince Louis, 5, was noticeably absent. The little one has been more present at official events, and he went viral during King Charles' coronation ceremony for his facial expressions, but this time around, Kate and William left their "national treasure" at home.
Although Louis was unable to go to Wimbledon with his parents, Kate confessed that he was disappointed that he was excluded.
"Louis was very upset he wasn't coming today," Kate reportedly said to the youth programs director Ella Ottway.
Time For Presents!
George and Charlotte's closeness was on full display during their outing. The two siblings were spotted cheering together during the matches, and they joyfully greeted officials from an ambulance service, the Royal Air Force and the Navy. Although the duo displayed a level of maturity, the kids were visibly excited to receive gifts and pet a dog while meeting with the civil servants.
An insider revealed that all three of the Wales' offspring are extremely close, and George is "protective" of both Charlotte and Louis.
"Charlotte is just like [George]. They have a great bond. … A lot of Charlotte’s toys are hand-me-downs from George. Although she’s definitely a girly girl, she also loves to play outside, just like George," the insider told a publication. "She’s got one of his old scooters and also a motorized Jeep she loves to drive around the patio in."
Kate Takes the Lead
While walking around The All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, George, William and Charlotte walked behind Kate and let the former duchess command the space.
Making Friends
As the Wales enjoyed their time at the gathering, the quartet took made sure to meet with some of the ball boys and girls.
