Prince William's Donald Trump Meeting Sparked Explosive Insult From Meghan Markle's Inner Circle
A recent Parisian encounter between Prince William, 42, and President-elect Donald Trump, 78, has ignited a media frenzy, with revelations about the health of senior royals taking center stage.
Trump's past remarks about Princess Diana and Catherine, Princess of Wales, 42, have also come into sharp focus thanks in part to a Meghan Markle, 43, supporter who didn't hold back her disdain.
"I probably wouldn't meet with a man who said he could have f----- my mom and demanded to see naked photos of my wife, but what do I know," Moms Demand Action founder Shannon Watts wrote on X.
The 45th and soon-to-be 47th U.S. president once provocatively talked about the future queen's topless pictures back in 2012. He also once told Howard Stern on-air that he "could have nailed" Diana, Princess of Wales had he wanted to.
The two dignitaries met at the reopening ceremony of Notre Dame Cathedral, a significant event marking the restoration of the historic landmark after its devastating fire in April 2019.
During their meeting, Trump disclosed that the Prince of Wales provided updates on King Charles and his wife's health, both of whom have been battling cancer. According to Trump, William mentioned the King is "fighting very hard," while the future queen is "doing well" following her treatment.
These personal insights, shared by Trump, have raised eyebrows, given the royal family's traditional discretion regarding health matters. The 45th American president, known for his candid remarks, also praised HRH's appearance, stating, "He looked really, very handsome."
Other Sussex supporters on social media were not having any of the cordial exchanges, with one X commenter quipping, "Trump's dramatically arrogant and sarcastic attitude towards William screamed, 'You are the future king of England and you act like a total nothing in front of me. What a wonderful life!' How could Harry be envious of this ridicule?"
His Royal Highness' appearance at the Notre Dame reopening underscored the Crown's enduring commitment to international solidarity and cultural preservation.
His participation in such a pivotal event, amidst personal tribulations, or even any underlying disdain for Trump, highlighted the royal family's dedication to their roles on the global stage.
Trump's revelations have ignited discussions about the transparency surrounding the health of senior royals. The British Crown traditionally maintains discretion regarding personal matters, making the president-elect's comments both unprecedented and newsworthy.
Regardless of whether the heir to the throne genuinely wanted to meet Trump is "irrelevant" when it comes to senior royal diplomacy, a source observed.
"The late Queen had to meet with murderers, dictators, despots and countless numbers of people who disrespected her in the past," they said. "It is a testament to the personal strength and fortitude of being a lifelong public servant to be kind and diplomatic and not reactionary."
Newsweek reported on Watts' comment.
