William, Prince of Wales, and Harry, Duke of Sussex, once shared an inseparable bond after the 1997 death of their mother, Diana, Princess of Wales. But now, even with the recent cancer diagnosis of their father, King Charles III, the brothers cannot stand the thought of even being near one another.

"It was out of the question for him to see William, who had two royal duties the next day and was helping his recuperating wife as well as his children," royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams, exclusively tells The Royal Observer in the wake of Harry's impromptu visit to Britain on February 6.

The Prince of Wales has been feuding with the Duke of Sussex for nearly six years.

"They had not spoken for months owing to the Sussexes indiscretions. William doesn’t trust his brother. If you read his ill-advised memoir Spare, it is obvious why!" Fitzwilliams adds when mentioning the source of William's most recent rage regarding Harry.

The King is currently battling an unknown form of cancer, which was diagnosed shortly after his "successful" procedure on his prostate. This "devastating" news comes only 17 months into his reign, which followed the equally troubling news of Kate, Princess of Wales' shock abdominal surgery on January 16. William took over two weeks off from royal duties to assist his recovering wife before having to "step up" and guide the Crown after its CEO fell seriously ill.

The fifth in line to the throne flew from Montecito to visit the monarch in a much-hyped reunion event on February 6, but subsequently only spent one hour with his dad, who was receiving cancer treatments by that point.

Prince William is even said to actively 'hate' Prince Harry since the publication of 'Spare.'

The Prince of Wales has stepped forward to become the central focus of the monarchy in light of his father's serious illness, which followed the heir's three-week break from duties to be by Catherine's side as she recovered.

Although Harry's recent trip likely infuriated the monarch-in-waiting, Fitzwilliams, and other premiere royal analysts trace the nexus of William's fury for Harry to Spare. Several members of his family were criticized in the book, but Prince William seemed to get this more than anybody else.

"We thought it might be the King and the Queen who were the villains of the piece, but it actually turned out to be his older brother," royal expert Rebecca English shared in December 2023.

Princes William and Harry's rift is said to have all started when Meghan Markle started dating Harry in 2016.

Upon its release on January 10, 2023, Harry claimed William threw him to the ground in a fit of rage in 2019, which caused his back to land on and break a dog's water bowl on the floor. He further stated how his brother and Kate Middleton encouraged him to wear the infamous Nazi uniform to a 2005 costume party.

The Duke of Sussex frequently made fun of William's "balding head," which led him to "lose his good looks" in recent years. He also accused his older brother of never liking the Duchess of Sussex and never doing anything to defend him or her when it came to toxic press coverage about them.
