Prince William didn't let the ongoing pandemic ruin his Christmas! Instead, he decided to go all out for his wife, Kate Middleton.
“After a busy year, William wanted to make this Christmas extra special for Kate and surprised her with a beautiful bracelet,” a source told Us Weekly.
The family-of-five had a low-key holiday — first, the kids, Prince George, 8, Princess Charlotte, 6, and Prince Louis, 3, opened their presents, and then they had a delicious meal.
“Kate cooked a traditional Christmas feast for lunch – turkey, stuffing, pigs in blankets, ham, roast potatoes and all the trimmings,” the insider revealed, adding that the mom-of-three “used her creative skills to decorate the table with candles, evergreen branches and cones as centerpieces.”
“The children helped Kate bake a chocolate Christmas log and apple pie for dessert, but the highlight was making a gingerbread house, covered in their favorite sweets,” the source added.
Despite going through a tough year, it seems like the pair are closer than ever, which is shown in their latest Christmas card.
"The first thing that strikes me about the photo is that everybody pictured is flashing a genuine smile. So often in photographs, no matter how important the person being photographed is, fake smiles are shown and faces can seem very disingenuous," body language expert Darren Stanton noted. "In this particular picture, everyone is displaying genuine emotion, which would suggest it’s a very happy time for the family right now."
"Kate always flashes a great smile, her whole face is engaged and her Crow’s feet — the three lines at the side of the eyes — are visible, which denotes a genuine smile and it is congruent with how open and inviting the rest of her body language is," he continued. "Her maternal intuition beams through, as she has her hand on the back of Prince George in a reassuring way."
