Prince William and Carole Middleton's Night Out: Prince of Wales and His Mother-in-Law Spotted on Secret Pub Trip
Prince William, the heir to the British throne, reportedly partied at a pub over the weekend with his mother-in-law, Carole Middleton. According to royal expert Richard Eden, the unlikely duo popped into a north Norfolk, England, establishment at a time when both are dealing with Kate, Princess of Wales' cancer treatments — and Carole's "massive debt" from her failed business.
"He just walked in and through the pub," an onlooker spilled. "He appeared to be with Carole Middleton."
The Wales royal household is currently based at Amner Hall on the Sandringham Estate as Princes George and Louis, along with Princess Charlotte, wrap up their school Easter holidays. The 19th-century, Georgian-style mansion is known for being the king and queen-in-waiting's favorite of all their retreats thanks in part to nearby Norfolk residents being used to living around the royals.
This led Eden to take a swipe at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle by sharing: "Prince Harry said he and Meghan fled Britain in 2020 'fearing for our lives,' yet his brother Prince William seems able to enjoy a pretty normal life."
This news comes after the Middleton family matriarch was praised for her ability to hold the family together during numerous crises.
"Carole has been the driving force keeping the family together with minimum fuss and maximum modesty," a Middleton family friend spilled.
"She’s ferried and fetched George, Louis and Charlotte, taken them to school sports matches, and given them endless support," they added. "She’s come to the rescue, provided reassurance, and has been a rock to Catherine and William as they come to terms with the news."
The source then shared that the former business owner had "been a real Mary Poppins-like figure." The insider then took a swipe at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle by stating: "Her actions are in huge contrast to those mouthing support from afar."
This cheery news also comes after The Royal Observer previously reported on Carole and Michael Middleton's "shame" in trying to hide hundreds of thousands of pounds of their own debt from their sick daughter.
According to an outlet, the former owners of the one-time successful Party Pieces company, owe "£260,000 (over $329,000) insolvency firm costs" with the firm in question acknowledging the duo as owing the massive amount of money.
"Carole is desperately trying to keep Catherine fully focused on her recovery," a Middleton family source spilled. "It's a very worrying time for the family, but they are not looking for any assistance from their children and don’t want them to worry."
The Prince of Wales has taken time away from royal duties since his wife revealed her diagnosis, but is expected to resume public visits "within days." Shortly after her video was released, a palace insider shared that the Princess of Wales could be out from engagements "until September."
Daily Express reported on Eden's remarks.
