Prince Harry Constantly 'Worries' Over Being Away From Pregnant Meghan Markle As He Awaits Prince Philip's Funeral In The U.K.
As Prince Harry prepares for his grandfather Prince Philip's funeral in the U.K. on April 17, he can't help but fret over pregnant wife Meghan Markle, who stayed behind in California on doctor's recommendations.
"He’s already really missing Meghan and [son] Archie and has been FaceTiming them every day to check in," an insider spilled to Us Weekly. "He actually speaks to Meghan a few times a day because he worries [about] leaving her when she’s so far along in her pregnancy."
The pair are already parents to Archie, who turns 2 on May 6, and they revealed on Valentine's Day that they were expecting their second child this summer.
During their interview with Oprah Winfrey, the duo revealed they were expecting a baby girl.
"It's amazing. [We're] just grateful," Harry gushed. "To have any child… but to have a boy and then a girl, what more can you ask for?"
Since Harry and Meghan moved to California just before the pandemic, they hadn't been able to spend much time with Philip before his April 9th death — which the former felt "guilty" for, an insider claimed.
Three days after Philip's passing, Harry honored him with a tribute on his Archewell website.
"My grandfather was a man of service, honour and great humour," Harry began. "He was authentically himself, with a seriously sharp wit, and could hold the attention of any room due to his charm—and also because you never knew what he might say next."
"He will be remembered as the longest reigning consort to the Monarch, a decorated serviceman, a Prince and a Duke," he noted. "But to me, like many of you who have lost a loved one or grandparent over the pain of this past year, he was my grandpa: master of the barbecue, legend of banter, and cheeky right 'til the end."
"He has been a rock for Her Majesty The Queen with unparalleled devotion, by her side for 73 years of marriage, and while I could go on, I know that right now he would say to all of us, beer in hand, 'Oh do get on with it!'" continued Harry.
"So, on that note, Grandpa, thank you for your service, your dedication to Granny, and for always being yourself. You will be sorely missed, but always remembered — by the nation and the world," he stated. "Meghan, Archie, and I (as well as your future great-granddaughter) will always hold a special place for you in our hearts."
