Prince Harry's Meghan Markle Obsession: Royal Watchers Say Duke Is 'Too Preoccupied' Thinking About Duchess During Joint Appearances
Prince Harry's "preoccupation" with what Meghan Markle thinks is likely one of the reasons their PR team initiated the "career separation" of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
This led body language analyst Darren Stanton to share on behalf of Slingo, "With Meghan, his attention is always on her during their joint engagements, making sure that she is OK. We tend to see more of his protective nature than his individual emotion as he puts Meghan’s feelings above his own.”
The expert seems to be a firm believer in the "Meghan-less is best" camp when it comes to Harry's public persona and image.
"Prince Harry here, you can see in his facial expression, his emotions, and his body language, this is an unparalleled height of happiness for him," he shared about the Duke's recent solo appearance on TV in Vancouver, Canada. "Attending alone, we always tend to see the best of Harry when he’s appearing solo. Harry absolutely comes into his own. He’s got this massive smile, he’s beaming from ear to ear, portraying his enjoyment and his happiness."
Stanton continued, "We know this is authentic and a genuine emotion from him. His whole face is engaged, the crow’s feet at the side of the eyes are there. There’s nothing fake about his expression here. There’s a high degree of animation… He’s completely relaxed and focused on what needs to be done. He can focus on being himself and on interacting with those around him."
Harry, flying solo without his Duchess, was in Vancouver to catch the Canadian football final between the Toronto Argonauts and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
Before kickoff, the reluctant HRH shared his excitement in an interview with The Sports Network, joking that quarterback would be his position of choice if he played. Flashing his "trademark smile," he greeted fans with enthusiasm, even giving the crowd a cheerful thumbs-up. In other words, all the things royal fans loved about the fiery-haired prince before he teamed up with "Duchess Difficult."
Harry’s visit ties in with his ongoing advocacy work, as Vancouver is set to host the Invictus Games in February 2025, marking the first time the tournament will include winter sports. Events are also planned for Whistler, promising a unique chapter in the game's history.
However, another Meghan-less event led a source to spill: "The Duke and Duchess have now hit their stride as individuals — not just as a couple. The Duke appears focused on his patronage work, and the Duchess focused on her entrepreneurial track."
While their solo outings have raised eyebrows, an insider suggests this "simply reflects a natural evolution in their roles." Harry is focusing on his charitable projects, while Meghan is exploring entrepreneurial ventures.
