Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Archewell Foundation Not in Financial Distress Despite Previous 'False Troll Reports'
Contrary to previous claims of financial turmoil, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Archewell Foundation is not in economic ruin.
In fact, the organization has silenced "false troll reports" by more than doubling its fundraising efforts in 2023, amassing a commendable $5.3 million dollars in grants compared to the previous year's $2 million dollars.
This financial leap effectively quashes prior allegations of unaccounted funds, as the foundation's latest tax filings confirm that all monies are properly recorded, according to a report.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who draw no salary from the foundation, have channeled $1.3 million dollars into charitable causes, aligning with their commitment to female empowerment, online safety and mental health. Notable contributions include a $250,000 dollar grant to the Women's Wellness (Spa)ce, a Philadelphia-based center led by Ashley Biden, daughter of President Joe Biden, which supports women affected by trauma.
Another Sussex initiative is The Welcome Project, designed to assist Afghan women resettling in the United States. The Suits alum, during a recent event, emphasized the program's long-term vision, stating it aims to provide "a long-term solution" rather than a "short-term banding on a problem."
The reluctant HRH expressed fulfillment in witnessing participants thrive after enduring significant hardships. Additionally, the Archewell Foundation launched the Parents Network, uniting families affected by the perils of social media. Harry has been vocal about the digital world's impact on children, addressing the issue at various events, including the 2024 Clinton Global Initiative meeting in October.
This financial transparency and philanthropic dedication dispel previous claims of financial mismanagement. A source close to the couple had previously dismissed such allegations as "ludicrous," and the latest tax filings substantiate the foundation's integrity.
This follows the Duchess of Sussex announcing at a red carpet event in November 2023 that Archewell had "so many exciting things on the slate."
"Things that make people feel — I was going to say 'good', but it's more than that — things that make people feel something, right?" the royal rebel observed.
As the Archewell Foundation continues to expand its charitable endeavors in the years since "Megxit," the Sussexes reaffirm their commitment to "show up, do good," on both a local community and international scale.
Their proactive approach and transparent operations "not only enhance their philanthropic impact but also reinforce public trust in their mission," in the words of one Sussex insider.
"The Archewell Foundation's substantial fundraising growth and strategic charitable investments highlight Harry and Meghan's unwavering dedication to effecting positive change," they said. "By addressing societal challenges and fostering community resilience, they exemplify a modern approach to philanthropy, effectively leaving trolls speechless and solidifying their legacy of service."
