'Terminally Damaged': Prince Harry's Trivial Grievances With Family Have Made Him a Permanent Royal Outsider
The young red-haired prince who caught the hearts of the world walking behind his mother's casket "is now a royal outsider," according to a former palace aide. Prince Harry flew to London in early May to celebrate the Invictus Games, but not one senior royal accepted an invitation to join him.
This led veteran royal expert Jennie Bond to state: "We can deduce that (Harry’s relationship with his family) is terminally damaged."
"In a sensible world, Harry would stay with his dad at Clarence House — they could have cozy chats in perfect privacy and with all the security Harry wants," Bond added. Prince Harry, his wife, Meghan Markle, and their son, Prince Archie, left the monarchy and the U.K. in early 2020.
Bond continued: "As regards William, that does appear to be a terminally damaged relationship. In a way, it seems the boot is now very much on the other foot. Previously it was Harry who was the 'victim' looking for an apology for all his perceived grievances. Now those grievances must seem utterly trivial (even to Harry) in the face of a very real problem: cancer. Kate and William are involved in a frightening fight and I don’t think they have the will or the strength to confront someone, even a brother, who picked a fight over issues that seem pathetic by comparison."
She further stated: "William is doing everything he possibly can to protect his wife and I very much doubt that they want to deal with 'the Harry problem' right now, if ever."
The California prince is also likely "forever on the outs" with his stepmother, Queen Camilla. "Let's just say that the Queen might be otherwise engaged," a royal source spilled about Harry's visit.
As for the Duke of Sussex and Her Majesty The Queen, there was never likely to be a meeting to begin with between these two. Previous reports revealed that Harry "can't stand" his stepmother, and this has allegedly been the case for years.
"Camilla has been working overtime to support the monarchy; just last month, she reportedly drove over six hours to a royal engagement after her flight was grounded because she reportedly didn’t want to let down her husband," royal reporter Kinsey Schofield dished in March. "I think the fact that Queen Camilla is seen as leading the family is significant proof that Prince Harry would not return to temporarily support the family because Camilla’s elevated position is likely something not sitting well with him right now."
The entertainment analyst went on to reveal: "I imagine the idea of her leading the family is something he has a hard time digesting."
It is believed that the King is the only senior royal who has any contact whatsoever with the Duke of Sussex and/or Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.
