Prince Harry Gets Brutally Snubbed by Royal Family on Armed Forces Day as Feud Continues

Despite serving in the military for a decade, Prince Harry was noticeably left out of the royal family’s social media post marking Armed Forces Day. The Duke of Sussex served in the British Army from 2005 to 2015, completing two tours in Afghanistan and qualifying as an Apache helicopter commander. However, amidst his public allegations against the Firm, the royal family chose not to acknowledge Harry's services to the country publicly.

The post, which honored 'generations of the royal family' who served in the army, was captioned: "Thank you for your tireless service, protecting the UK and promoting peace overseas. We are hugely grateful for your efforts, often in the face of danger, and those of your loved ones, providing support at home." As reported by The Mirror, the message carousel referenced King Charles’s naval career and experience as a helicopter pilot, as well as Prince William’s service in the RAF as a search and rescue pilot. Another image paid tribute to the late Prince Philip’s role in the Royal Navy during the Second World War. However, Harry was left out.
The Duke of Sussex entered the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in May 2005 and began serving in the army. As per GB News, after completing 44 weeks of Officer Cadet training, Harry was commissioned as an army officer in April 2006 and joined the Blues and Royals. His military service officially concluded in June 2015 following a secondment to the Australian military. In his memoir, Spare, Harry famously also opened up about killing 25 Taliban soldiers during his second tour of Afghanistan in 2012. He penned, "I didn't think of those twenty-five as people... They were chess pieces removed from the board. Bads taken away before they could kill Goods."

While the royal family’s Armed Forces Day snub may have stung Harry, he also recently took a subtle swipe at his family just a day earlier, on June 27. According to The Mirror, during an appearance at the NEXUS Global Summit, he told the audience, "My wife said to me very early on in our relationship: 'If you live your life by truth, it's the most efficient way to live.' We will continue to live our life by truth and we will continue to stand up for what we believe in — the difference between right and wrong," likely alluding to his and Meghan Markle’s royal exit following the Firm’s alleged mistreatment of her.
As for the royal family’s military ties, other members like Princess Anne hold notable roles — she serves as an Admiral and Chief Commandant of Women in the Royal Navy. Similarly, Prince Edward briefly trained with the Royal Marines and now holds several honorary military titles across the armed forces.
