Prince George turned 11 on Monday, July 22, and as the future king passed another year toward his future destiny, he is said to hold his father, Prince William, heir to the British throne, as his guiding light.

"William and George looked adorable watching the Euros together," relationship Nicky Wake observed about the two kings-in-waiting recently. "The way George mimicked his dad shows that he idolizes him in every way, whether it was cheering and hugging in joy at the goal, or sitting in devastation at the result."

Prince George, who turned 11 on July 22, 2024, reminded royal fans of his father, Prince William at the same age.

"George looking over at William to copy his actions shows that he sees his father as a role model and aspires to be like him when he’s older," she added.

This aspiration to embrace a life of service to their hundreds of millions of subjects across the world is reportedly something that runs deep in the Wales household.

"George and Charlotte really are cut from the same cloth as their parents," veteran royal reporter Jennie Bond shared.

"It's very cute to see this pair out with their mum and dad… they obviously have a great relationship, and perhaps they get a kick out of playing lookalikes," she added when highlighting recent comparisons between the two princes at the age of 11.

Prince William and Prince George will one-day follow King Charles III as Britain and the Commonwealth's monarch.

But preparing to be a monarch is apparently not smooth sailing.

George's big day also came amid some reported tension in the Wales household revolving around the future heir to the throne's education. The future king and queen are said to be going back and forth between Eton College — William's alma mater — and Marlborough College, which is where Kate graduated from. However, the king and queen-in-waiting have reportedly reached a possible compromise and are also considering another option.

Their Royal Highnesses are also looking at St. Edward's School in Oxford, which comes with a 47,000 pound per year price tag. It is believed the pair think the school is a good fit for George, who is second in line to the throne, and reportedly visited the location shortly before the princess had abdominal surgery. Kate long disagreed with her husband about sending him away, even though it's tradition.

Princes William and George reportedly both 'bond' over their shared love of English sporting events.

As the future heir, Prince George's role will involve upholding the traditions of the monarchy while embracing modern values instilled by his father. George's upbringing, which includes a strong emphasis on education and early exposure to royal duties, will prepare him for the responsibilities of his future role.

As he grows, George will need to navigate a world with evolving societal and global challenges, and his ability to address these issues with a contemporary perspective will be essential for maintaining the monarchy's relevance.

He certainly has "a role model worth following in these areas," a royal source shared on the young prince's 10th birthday last July.
