Disgraced Royal Recluse: Prince Andrew Spends Days at Lavish Home 'Watching TV in a Darkened Room' as He Fades Into 'Isolated' Irrelevance
Prince Andrew has become a "recluse" within the confines of his lavish Royal Lodge near Windsor Castle, and reportedly spends his days "watching TV in a darkened room."
"As things stand, life at Royal Lodge is set to become increasingly cold and uncomfortable for the duke," a friend of King Charles III spilled.
"The only question now is when he will realize that he has become a prisoner of his own pride — and that handing back the keys will afford him far greater comfort, and the continued support of his family," they added.
This follows reports that state the Duke is possibly set to be removed from the Royal Lodge as the King reignites his efforts to kick the disgraced royal from the opulent mansion. The monarch has reportedly "been stunned" by his younger brother's "refusal" to leave and rejection of his royal commands.
"It's Brothers at War, to be honest," royal expert Stephanie Takyi shared. "Charles and Andrew haven't had the closest of relationships. According to the papers today, Charles is trying to evict Andrew from the Royal Lodge, where he's lived since 2004, and he's trying to get him to move into Frogmore Cottage, where Harry and Meghan previously were."
Earlier this year, during the new Jeffrey Epstein court document scandal, the allegations against the Duke of York were "severe" in terms of their context and the specific actions he allegedly took with underage girls. It was widely speculated that s-- tapes of the prince filmed at Epstein's NYC home existed, but this has been refuted by many.
Attorney Spencer Kuvin told a publication in January: "I can confirm that during my walk-through of the Palm Beach home, I saw where cameras were located but had been removed. Additionally, I have a client that can confirm that video recording devices were located inside his Manhattan home in various rooms. It is likely that the FBI confiscated any digital video devices and memory/hard drives when they executed a search warrant at the different locations."
Isolation and leisurely homebound pursuits have also allegedly always been something the "slovenly" royal enjoys. During their 10-year marriage, one report about Sarah Ferguson once stated how her ex-spouse would simply "watch videos on the couch all day," and this widely contributed to the disintegration of their marriage. The future royal disgrace was also an active member of the British Armed Forces then, which saw him gone most of the time.
Ferguson moved into the Royal Lodge with Andrew in 2008, where the duo have lived as "roommates" ever since.
Daily Mirror reported on the insider revelations.
