Just one day after Mother's Day in the U.K., Pippa Middleton is a mom-of-two!
The 37-year-old welcomed a girl named Grace Elizabeth Jane on Monday, March 15, a source told Page Six. The new tot — who she shares with husband James Matthews — was born at 4:22 a.m. and weighed 6 pounds, 7 ounces.
"Everyone is over the moon," the insider said, adding that it's such "lovely news."
Rebecca English, royal editor at the Daily Mail, also confirmed the news via Twitter. "Lovely news today! I hear Pippa (Middleton) Matthews had her second baby this morning. Grace Elizabeth Jane was born at 4.22am weighing 6lbs 7oz. Mother and baby are doing well. A family source tells me: ‘She’s perfect, everyone is overjoyed at such a happy arrival.’ Sweet!" she wrote.
Pippa's daughter has a special connection to her aunt, Kate Middleton — the two share the same middle name. (Kate was born Catherine Elizabeth Middleton.)
Just a few weeks ago, Pippa's mother, Carole Middleton, confirmed the news that her youngest daughter had a bun in the oven. "I hope to see more of my family than I could last year, including, of course, my new grandchild," Carole told Good Housekeeping UK.
In December, rumors swirled that Kate's younger sister was expecting baby No. 2, but she never confirmed the news.
Pippa — who shares son Arthur with Matthews — previously raved about the type of activities she does with her son.
"Starting my son Arthur swimming at four months old has given him confidence and enjoyment in water," she said. "He's now six months old, and swimming is one of our favorite activities. The exercise helps guarantee sound daytime sleeps, and the movement has improved his digestion."
"Water activity is a great form of exercise you can do with your baby!" she added.
