The Prince and Princess of Wales are already laying the foundation for how their reign will be conducted.
Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, are seeking a newly-created "CEO" to run their huge household, which promises to be a huge task.
"Whoever this person is, they will have to be one tough cookie," royal expert Charles Rae told an outlet.

Prince William and Kate, Princess of Wales, are believed to want a more streamlined and easily manageable style of monarchy when they eventually become king and queen.
"They’ll be coming it at a level of CEO and running it like a company," the commentator added.
"This is William and Kate setting out their stall for the future for when they take over the reins of the royal family."
The Prince and Princess of Wales are on a mission to streamline the British monarchy in time for William's eventual accession to the throne. Although that could be well over 20 years from now if King Charles III lives as long as his mother did — the king and queen consort-in-waiting are said to be laying the groundwork in their own household now.
The King has been on the throne for a year and is also keen to trim down the scale of the Crown, however, it is reported that William and Kate wish to go even further with royal minimalism when they ascend the throne. Most of these cost-cutting and trimming details will be seen within the numerous royal households that serve senior royals, not the pomp and pageantry that royalists expect to see.

Both King Charles III and Prince William want the British monarchy to evolve and become more cost-effective.
Britain's royal court is still largely conducted as it was in the medieval era, with a bit less flummery and reverence as the modern era has taken hold. Still, the notion of servants needing to clear matters with a secretary, who then needs to consult with a chamberlain, etc., is said to stick out like a sore thumb with Charles III and William.
Both wish to bring the institution into the 21st century after decades of what they saw as stagnation under Queen Elizabeth II, whose motto was always "if it isn't broken, don't fix it."

The Prince and Princess of Wales reportedly want to eliminate archaic positions in the royal household in favor of one CEO.
Their Royal Highnesses' plans for one CEO to steady the ship have been held as "revolutionary" by palace insiders, who claim the millennial royals are "overthrowing the traditional, hierarchical structure."
As The Royal Observer previously reported, the CEO "will be responsible for the development and implementation of TRH's long-term strategy and continuing to strengthen a professional and collaborative household culture."
