Melissa McCarthy Was 'Pleased' To Work With Meghan Markle & Prince Harry, Calls The Couple 'Inspiring, Sweet & Funny'
Actress Melissa McCarthy has nothing but positive things to say about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle after she helped the latter launch her charitable 40x40 initiative on her August 4 birthday.
To announce the project, which helps mentor women who "are mobilizing back into the workforce," the Duchess of Sussex and the Bridesmaids star filmed a fun video where they sipped tea and discussed their plans, and it even featured a cameo from Harry.
The Emmy winner shared some behind-the-scenes tidbits while on Access Hollywood, revealing that the scene where Harry appears through a window was his own idea.
"He's like, ‘I can juggle....' Then he's like, 'Is it going to be weird if I stand outside and juggle?'" she recalled. "I was like, ‘Weird in a way that will make me watch it five million times!’"
The Saturday Night Live alum noted that it was the Suits star herself who wanted to bring a comedic element to their announcement video.
"She said, ‘Let's do it in a fun way and see if we can drum up more people helping more women kind of get back into the workforce,'" McCarthy shared. "I was so pleased to be a part of it."
"The way she wants to celebrate her 40th is by helping and empowering other women. How do you not get behind that?" added the star.

Despite the drama that's ensued after the parents-of-two left the royal family, the Illinois native praised them for doing things their own way.
"They were so sweet and funny. I just find them very inspiring," she gushed. "They're carving out their own lives. They're carving out their lives for their kids."
After the video debuted, several stars such as Priyanka Chopra, Katie Couric, Adele and Kerry Washington vowed to participate.
"Happy Birthday to this beautiful 👑, Meghan Markle," Washington captioned a photo. "On her 40th birthday, I will be joining The Duchess of Sussex by donating 40 minutes of service to grassroots organizers and organizations on the ground fighting for change."
