Meghan Markle Subtly Pays Tribute To The Late Princess Diana, Wears Her Bracelet During Interview With Oprah Winfrey

So sweet! Meghan Markle subtly paid tribute to the late Princess Diana while speaking with Oprah Winfrey in a new interview.
In the new teaser, which dropped on Sunday, February 28, the former actress, 39, sported a black Armani dress in addition to a sparkly piece of jewelry — a diamond tennis bracelet that was Diana’s.
This is hardly the first time Meghan has been spotted with the bling. In 2018, the brunette beauty wore it to a state dinner in Fiji during her royal tour of Oceania, and one year later, she wore it at a Commonwealth Day celebration.
The bracelet was also used to make Meghan’s engagement ring. “The main stone itself I sourced from Botswana, and the little diamonds [on] either side are from my mother’s jewelry collection to make sure that she’s with us on this — on this crazy journey together,” Prince Harry, 36, explained at the time.
“The inclusion of that and, obviously not being able to meet his mom, it’s so important to me to — to know that she’s a part of this with us,” Meghan revealed.
Despite stepping away from the royal family, the pair “wanted to wear the bracelet to have [Harry’s] mother there with them during the interview,” a spokesperson for the duchess told the Today show.
Harry seems to bring up his late mom while chatting with Winfrey. “My biggest concern was history repeating itself,” Harry says. “I’m just really relieved and happy to be sitting here talking to you with my wife by my side because I can’t begin to imagine what it must have been like for her going through this process by herself all those years ago.”
“It has been unbelievably tough for the two of us, but at least we had each other,” the red-headed prince added.
Winfrey "will speak with Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex, in a wide-ranging interview, covering everything from stepping into life as a Royal, marriage, motherhood, philanthropic work to how she is handling life under intense public pressure,” the CBS press release states.
The interview is set to air on Sunday, March 7, at 8 p.m. ET.
