Hijacking Meghan Markle's Orchard: Royal Fan Infiltrates Ex-Actress' Glossy Brand Website to Write Their 'Thoughts Are With Kate'
One fan of Catherine, Princess of Wales, is not at all pleased with Meghan, Duchess of Sussex's new product line launch, American Rivera Orchard. The royalist usurper of Meghan's new brand used the site to divert users to the future queen's beloved foodbank charity... not to buy strawberry jam.
The anonymous fan shared the message: "Not Meghan. Hope Meghan wouldn’t mind. Thoughts with Catherine x."
The website in question is the United Kingdom's domain of the web address, which the Kate enthusiast used for the Trussell Trust landing page which leads to a Just Giving fundraiser with a private message," according to a report by GBN.
The Duchess of Sussex launched her brand in mid-March with the original, American domain of www.americanrivera.com, whereas the U.K. Kate fan used americanriveraorchard.uk.
As The Royal Observer previously reported, "on Monday, April 15, the Duchess of Sussex's pals Tracy Robbins and Delfina Blaquier revealed via their Instagram Stories that they received a small bottle of the line's strawberry jam, causing some people on social media to write some not so nice tweets."
The wave of tweets kicked off with "A pot of jam……hilarious….grifters on overdrive," one person declared on social media in reaction to the debut.
"Could make that for $3. And we're talking a batch. How much will the duchess of moneybags be charging?" quipped another, while a third said of Meghan, "What a grifter."
"When you get the opportunity of a lifetime, but your ego, greed and narcissism curse everything you touch ... Meghan Markle is a cautionary tale," a fourth hater said. "You can’t fall any lower than resorting to sell STRAWBERRY jam. Not even in that is she original!"
As Meghan is no longer part of the monarchy, she is free to launch her brand whenever she likes," PR expert Lynn Carratt dished. "However, given Kate's ongoing cancer treatments, it would be wise for Meghan to be sensitive to the timing of her brand launch, considering the public support for Kate worldwide."
The former actress and her prince have not been in Britain together as a couple since Queen Elizabeth II's state funeral in September 2022. One palace insider stepped forward to reveal that "the long amount of time that has passed since the snob graced us with her presence will guarantee a media frenzy with her oaf" if Meghan joins her husband in May for Harry's much-hyped trip to the U.K.
The Duke of Sussex will be the main attraction at St Paul's Cathedral for a 10th-anniversary celebration of his Invictus Games. If Meghan attends with him, the pair could be in store for a repeat of the boos they received at the late monarch's Platinum Jubilee service at the same venue on June 3, 2022.
