Sussex 'Work Divorce' Between Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Could Reflect Serious Marital Issues Too
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as a brand duo is on life support.
This has led relationship expert Louella Alderson to observe: "This decision doesn't necessarily reflect on their relationship as a whole, but more on the brand direction they are choosing to take."
"Meghan and Harry's decision to go their separate ways work-wise is likely a decision based on the negative reception their joint projects have received so far," she added. "After the projects that they embarked on together, like their Spotify deal, haven't garnered them the positive attention they were after, they may have realized that working together professionally might not be the best route for them at this time."
Louella continued: "Meghan and Harry are strategic in their approach to their public image, and this move could be seen as a way for them to have more control over how they are perceived individually. It may also give them the opportunity to explore different interests and passions without being tied to each other's brands or projects."
Alderson further added: "Working with your partner can also be an intense experience,” and taking on separate projects can give the Montecito couple some “much-needed breathing space.”
The expert also feels that a split of Brand Sussex could ultimately help the pair. "It allows for growth and the chance to have new experiences outside of each other's shadow, particularly given the negative attention they have received as a couple in recent years."
While they have their individual endeavors, their partnership has proven to be beneficial for both of them professionally too, especially as a couple who have brands built on their relationship," Alderson added "For starters, the media attention surrounding the end of their relationship would be difficult to deal with, and they have their children to look out for," she observed when mentioning the California toddler royals, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet Diana.
She continued: "It’s common for celebrities to maintain a united front in the public eye ... they may choose to present themselves as a strong and happy couple, even if they’ve actually been living separate lives for years. This is typically to avoid the inevitable media attention and speculation and to protect their image and brand."
"They have the additional royal family complications and duties," another marital analyst, Kate Mansfield, told an outlet. "The pressure to stay together as a family unit is far greater than it is for other couples. We only have to look at Charles and Camilla to know that for sure, royals can indulge in secret affairs, even over a long period."
However, there are numerous commentators and reporters who find the incessant rumors that the Montecito royals are splitting to be bogus and unfounded.
