Sussex Palace Lifeline: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry 'Haven't Got a Clue What They're Doing' Without Royal Backup
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry "haven't got a clue what they're doing" when it comes to "imitating the British royal family" on their recent "tour" of Colombia.
"We don't know who they're going to meet," royal expert Victoria Murphy shared. "When Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, met Francia Márquez, she was there representing Britain so it was very clear what Sophie represented, and it was not the interest of the Colombian government."
"That's what the working royals have, their message, their purpose, their representation is very clear when they go to other countries," she added. "With Harry and Meghan, it's not clear what Archewell's stance is on a lot of things, in the same way. There's no doubt it will draw attention, but what is the purpose of that attention and how well thought through is it being channeled?"
The pair are in the South American nation at the request of its government, specifically Vice President Marquez, who said she wanted to ask them on the tour since she was moved by their 2022 Netflix documentary Harry & Meghan.
The Duke and Duchess are promoting "The Parent's Network," which according to the couple's website, is a "global community [that] aims to provide crucial support to parents whose children have suffered from the harmful effects of social media, from facing near-fatal harm, managing ongoing mental health difficulties, or experiencing the tragic loss of a child."
Murphy continued: "This cause is absolutely brilliant. I think it's a really important cause for them to be championing but will it get the attention it deserves? I wonder whether they could have made more impact with it talking as working royals. I feel sometimes it's hard to see how everything fits together."
The Duchess reportedly wasted no time in "running the show" once they officially arrived on Thursday, August 15.
This led influential lip reader Nicola Hickling to share how it all kicked off with Meghan covertly snapping behind a smile to Harry to give her his "hand," to which the fifth in line to the throne submissively replied: "Here you go."
The ex-working royals were greeted into the country by Marquez and her husband, Rafael Yerney Pinillo. Meghan's arrival outfit was an Orlinda vest from designer Veronica Beard with her hair pinned back. Harry matched her vest color by donning a navy blue suit.
Although the visit is set to highlight numerous causes close to the hearts of both the Sussexs and victims of cyberbullying across the world, one former palace courtier is not buying into "the victim-narrative lacquered facade," as another royal source labeled the upcoming trip.
The former aide said the tour "shows the utter contempt they have for the King" and violates "very long-established ways of doing things."
The Sun reported on Murphy's remarks.
