Meghan Markle & Prince Harry's Archewell Company Hires Nishika Kumble To Serve As Head Of Scripted TV

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's company has found their new head of scripted television, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Nishika Kumble will take on the role for their production company, Archewell Productions. According to the outlet, "Kumble will work closely with Netflix to create and develop new scripted fare from diverse voices that informs, elevates and inspires."

Kumble has an impressive résumé — she worked as VP Development and Production at Rashida Jones and Will McCormack's Le Train Train Productions, and she was was a Director of Development at 26 Keys, where she worked on Fargo and Legion.

Meghan, 40, and Harry, 36, have been busy ever since they signed deals with Spotify and Netflix.

In April, Harry announced that Archewell Productions' first Netflix series will be called Heart of Invictus.

"Since the very first Invictus Games back in 2014, we knew that each competitor would contribute in their own exceptional way to a mosaic of resilience, determination, and resolve. This series will give communities around the world a window into the moving and uplifting stories of these competitors on their path to the Netherlands next year," Harry said in a statement.

He continued, "As Archewell Productions' first series with Netflix, in partnership with the Invictus Games Foundation, I couldn't be more excited for the journey ahead or prouder of the Invictus community for continuously inspiring global healing, human potential and continued service."

Then, in July, the former actress revealed that Archewell Productions is creating its first ever animated series with Netflix.

"Pearl (working title) focuses on a young girl’s heroic adventure as she learns to step into her power and finds inspiration from influential women throughout history," the website reads.

“Like many girls her age, our heroine Pearl is on a journey of self-discovery as she tries to overcome life’s daily challenges. I’m thrilled that Archewell Productions, partnered with the powerhouse platform of Netflix, and these incredible producers, will together bring you this new animated series, which celebrates extraordinary women throughout history. David Furnish and I have been eager to bring this special series to light, and I am delighted we are able to announce it today," the mom-of-two shared of the concept.
