Family of four! Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are expecting their second child, a spokesperson confirmed on Sunday, February 14.
"We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child," a spokesperson told BAZAAR.com.
The couple also shared a new black-and-white photo of themselves — which was taken by their longtime friend Misan Harriman — outside. In the snap, the two are laughing, as Meghan, 39, shows off her growing baby bump.
"Meg, I was there at your wedding to witness this love story begin, and my friend, I am honoured to capture it grow. Congratulations to The Duke and Duchess of Sussex on this joyous news! #remoteshoot #shotonipad #shotbymisan," Harriman captioned the sweet photograph on Twitter.
Of course, fans couldn't get enough of the special moment. One person wrote, "LOVE ALWAYS WINS,” while another echoed, “OMG What a beautiful shot! Thank you so much for sharing this gorgeous news and photograph!” A third user added, “Congrats to the lovely couple and congrats on this great photo.”
Phil Dampier previously broke the news for The Royal Observer just a week ago. "I hear Harry and Meghan may soon be blessed with a second child to join 20-month old son Archie," he wrote in his column.
The happy news comes shortly after the Suits alum announced she had a miscarriage last summer. "Something was not right," she wrote in a candid op-ed for The New York Times. "I felt a sharp cramp. I dropped to the floor with him in my arms, humming a lullaby to keep us both calm."
"I knew, as I clutched my firstborn child that I was losing my second," she wrote in the article titled "The Losses We Share."
Meghan went to the hospital with her husband several hours later. "I felt the clamminess of his palm and kissed his knuckles, wet from both our tears. Staring at the cold white walls, my eyes glazed over. I tried to imagine how we'd heal."
She added, "Losing a child means carrying an almost unbearable grief, experienced by many but talked about by few."
The duo moved to California in 2020 after they left the royal family. Since then, they have enjoyed spending time with their son.
"It's magic. It's pretty amazing. I have the best two guys in the world, so I'm really happy," Meghan gushed in 2019 about her new tot. "He's just been a dream."
Harry added, "It's been the most amazing experience I could ever possibly imagine. [We look forward to spending] precious times with him as he slowly, slowly starts to grow up."
