Meghan Markle Is 'Nothing' Without Prince Harry
Will Meghan Markle's brand survive without her husband, Prince Harry? The Duchess of Sussex signed with WME in April, and while she works alongside Ari Emanuel to curate her public image, critics speculated that the former actress is planning her return to Hollywood — without her spouse.
Even though Meghan's team has been quiet, royal commentator Angela Levin thinks Meghan's reputation is dependent on her marriage. "Without him, she’s nothing. I don’t think they will split yet, but I think she wants to prove that she’s really strong on her own," Levin told Sky News Australia.
"Whatever they did, they did together, and they were so happy that way. but now there’s been no contact. There’s no touching. There’s no helping," Levin added.
Meghan and Harry are focused on their personal goals, but they've been forced to dodge split rumors in the process. A source told RadarOnline that the couple was experiencing a "trial separation," and popular gossip account Deuxmoi touched on the claims via social media.
An anonymous source submitted to Deuxmoi the pair had "sold their mansion in Montecito" and that Harry was "living in another place."
"Not sure if the house was sold but I had heard a couple weeks ago he was staying someplace else there," Deuxmoi wrote in a response. However, insiders quickly assured an outlet that the claims were baseless.
"It’s not true, it’s literally made up," the insider doubled down.
Despite the false accusations, both Meghan and Harry are working on various passion projects. Netflix confirmed they would release Harry's show Heart of Invictus, which will highlight the creation of his charitable game Invictus Games.
"This new series from Archewell Productions follows a group of extraordinary competitors from around the globe – all service members who have suffered life-changing injuries or illnesses – on their road to competing at the Invictus Games," Netflix shared in a statement.
Although the docuseries has yet to publicize its formal release date, it will be Harry's first Netflix project created independently of his wife.
Meghan stepped away from her lifestyle platform, The Tig, after Harry proposed, but the New York Post reported that Meghan recently applied to trademark the site.
In 2016, Meghan wrote a letter to fans about her decision to end the popular blog.
"After close to three beautiful years on this adventure with you, it's time to say goodbye to The Tig," Meghan penned. "What began as a passion project (my little engine that could) evolved into an amazing community of inspiration, support, fun and frivolity. You've made my days brighter and filled this experience with so much joy."
The insider spoke to Page Six.
