Royal Regret: Meghan Markle 'Misses' A-List Lifestyle and 'Wants Her Old Life Back' Before Prince Harry
Meghan Markle could be having buyer's remorse from marrying Prince Harry, as the ex-working royal reportedly misses her old life of hanging out with Hollywood A-listers.
"Meghan has made no secret of how much she misses her care-free life when she was an actress," a Sussex source told an outlet.
"While she'd never change what she has with Harry and the kids, there is a big part of her that she wishes she could just get her old life back," they added. "She loved being in Suits and all the opportunities it gave her — she'd get invited to all the exclusive events and get to hang out with Hollywood A-listers, but there was so much less scrutiny and attention and there was no pressure on her."
But the Duchess could be getting ready to go back in front of the camera despite four years of scrutiny following "Megxit."
Another insider close to the Sussex camp said: "She feels the time is right to start looking at offers as she knows she’ll be criticized whatever she does, so she can cope with backlash and wants to do what makes her happy."
The Duchess-to-be met Harry in the summer of 2016 and the two announced their royal engagement in November 2017 before marrying on May 19, 2018.
"Harry often feels guilty for Meghan having to give up on her dream life, and he knows how much she sacrificed to marry him and have a family with him, so he will support her no matter what," the source continued.
Despite the fifth in line to the throne's supposed remorse for his wife's decisions, the ex-actress is said to be gearing up for a return to the spotlight.
"She has quite a few work commitments coming up but this is just the beginning of Meghan's big comeback and she'll be doing things on her terms," the insider observed. "She loved being in Suits and all the opportunities it gave her — she'd get invited to all the exclusive events and get to hang out with Hollywood A-listers but there was so much less scrutiny and attention and there was no pressure on her."
They concluded: "She feels the time is right to start looking at offers as she knows she’ll be criticized [for] whatever she does so she can cope with backlash and wants to do what makes her happy."
But Meghan's new relaunch could be a bit more difficult this time around.
"Harry and Meghan are being left off guest lists for friend's weddings and other events due to their estrangement from the royal family," another source recently spilled. "There is genuine fear that if the Sussexes are invited to a wedding or a christening, it could leave that family excluded from the social circuit, which would be one of the biggest faux pas imaginable."
The new Sussex moniker is said to stem from how the pair are now perceived in Tinseltown and Soho in London's West End.
