Sarah Ferguson's recent appearance at Sandringham for Christmas has apparently ruffled Meghan Markle's royal feathers.

"The thing that really riles Meghan is that Fergie pops up on things like the ITV daytime show This Morning, [and] Loose Women, and billing herself as the Duchess of York, selling books and possibly doing adverts all under the royal family," popular YouTube broadcaster Neil Sean told an outlet.

Meghan Markle is reportedly angry about Sarah Ferguson's recent Christmas appearance with the royals.

"Meghan and Harry seemingly don’t understand why it’s a different rule for her," he added.

Sean's report may lie in the fact that both the Duke and Duchess of Sussex still actively choose to use their royal styles and titles while refusing to work for the Crown and instead monetizing their own individual projects. Sarah Ferguson won the right to legally use "Duchess of York" (and totally lost her HRH) after her first name as part of her 1996 divorce settlement from Prince Andrew.

Therefore, Fergie is a true ex-royal, whereas Meghan and Harry still have their styles and titles intact, with active use on their parts for nearly all their appearances and lucrative projects. This has frequently led to criticism of the pair ever since they left the monarchy in early 2020 and continued to use their royal address despite wanting to seemingly be private citizens.

This news also follows recent reports that reflect where the Montecito twosome's professional lives could go as the year unfolds.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are facing an 'uncertain' 2024.

"Something is beginning to unwind at the heart of Meghan and Harry," PR expert Mark Borkowski dished. "I think 2024 is going to be seismic, either because they’re going to do something to recover and find a new positive tactic, or it’s going to be the undoing of the brand."

He added: "It can only go one or two ways. It can’t stay where it is at the moment. Because it’s clearly not working."

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are allegedly 'still reeling' from losing their Spotify contract in June 2023.

Harry and Meghan were both subjected to a brutal "Hollywood freeze-out" during the summer of 2023, which followed the "embarrassing" loss of their Spotify contract that June. This could be set to continue thanks to more controversies surrounding the pair since then.

"We've seen countless appearances of Meghan on red carpets. The story of her being back in play in Hollywood is all about Meghan trying to return to her own turf, being available for work, and getting back to Hollywood," Borkowski observed.

He concluded: "But I would suggest they are getting perhaps conveniently left behind by the Hollywood machine, who have probably had enough of them and enough of the negativity. They're hinting at their big plans ahead, but you know, we've heard that all before. So they have to deliver something now."
