Meghan Markle 'Feels Hurt': Hollywood Duchess Wants to 'Sit Down' With Royals and 'Hash Things Out'
Although Prince Harry is reportedly ready to move on from royally feuding, Meghan Markle is said to feel entirely the opposite.
"Harry is more willing to move on, let’s just say that," a Sussex source told an outlet. "It’s not a case of Meghan being difficult, she genuinely feels hurt and would like some kind of sit down to hash things through — but that’s not something the other side is willing to consider at this time."
"Harry and Meghan are expecting an apology and so are senior members of the royal family," they added. "It’s got to the point now where both sides can’t see where they’ve gone wrong and there’s no meeting in the middle. It’s a stalemate."
Relations between Team Sussex and King Charles III are said to be "intact but still distant," whereas Queen Camilla, and "certainly" Prince William along with Kate, Princess of Wales, feel differently.
Previous reports revealed that Harry "can't stand" his stepmother, and this has allegedly been the case for years.
As for the king and queen-in-waiting, "that’s going to take a lot of reconciliation," royal reporter Michael Cole revealed. "Harry is going to have to mend a few fences."
"I would say enough fences to encircle the whole 20,000 acres of the Sandringham Estate," he added. "A lot of humble pies have got to be eaten too. Meghan in her Montecito kitchen will have to bake up a humble pie about as tall as a Californian redwood and then eat it. It's going to be a long, long road before the two brothers are on speaking terms, let alone friends again."
"Their relationship remains extremely fractured," an anonymous source spilled. "Harry has privately expressed a wish to sit down with his brother, but now is not the time."
The Duke of Sussex and Prince of Wales have reportedly not spoken a single word to one another since Queen Elizabeth II's State Funeral in September 2022.
"It did seem like there was some hope they may reconcile after [Elizabeth II's funeral]," a palace insider spilled. "But only a handful of months later, the Netflix s------- dropped followed by Spare [Harry's memoir] the next month. William was done at that point."
Upon its release on January 10 of last year, the tome contained two key passages that have dominated headlines about it ever since. One was Harry's recounting of an alleged physical altercation he had with his brother in 2019. Harry claimed William threw him to the ground in a fit of rage, which caused his back to land on and break a dog's water bowl on the floor. He further stated how his brother and Kate encouraged him to wear the infamous Nazi uniform to a 2005 costume party, which caused a worldwide scandal and cemented his "bad boy" reputation.
Daily Express reported on the insider revelations.
