Even though Meghan Markle just gave birth to her second child, daughter Lilibet, she is thinking about her next move.
So much so, on Wednesday, July 14, the former actress, 39, announced her next venture — Archewell Productions is creating its first ever animated series with Netflix!
"Pearl (working title) focuses on a young girl’s heroic adventure as she learns to step into her power and finds inspiration from influential women throughout history," the website reads.
“Like many girls her age, our heroine Pearl is on a journey of self-discovery as she tries to overcome life’s daily challenges. I’m thrilled that Archewell Productions, partnered with the powerhouse platform of Netflix, and these incredible producers, will together bring you this new animated series, which celebrates extraordinary women throughout history. David Furnish and I have been eager to bring this special series to light, and I am delighted we are able to announce it today," the mom-of-two said of the new series.
Meghan will be an Executive Producer alongside Furnish, Carolyn Soper, Liz Garbus, Dan Cogan and Amanda Rynda.
Last year, Meghan and Prince Harry signed a massive deal with Netflix to produce films, scripted shows, children's programming and more.
"Our lives, both independent of each other, and as a couple have allowed us to understand the power of the human spirit: of courage, resilience, and the need for connection," Meghan and Harry said in a statement at the time. "Through our work with diverse communities and their environments, to shining a light on people and causes around the world, our focus will be on creating content that informs but also gives hope."
Though Meghan and Harry seem determined to put out content, they may be a bit overwhelmed, a source revealed.
“The work is piling up, and certain deadlines can’t be missed,” an insider told OK! of their new routine with two kids.
The pair “won’t get to kick back on the beach as much as they’d like,” the source added. “They may have bitten off more than they can chew."
