Nothing can break the bond Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have with Queen Elizabeth II. "I woke up earlier than H, and saw a note from someone on our team in the U.K. saying that the Duke of Edinburgh had gone to the hospital," Meghan recalled to Winfrey. "But I just picked up the phone and I called the Queen just to check in. That's what we do."

It was announced that on February 16, Prince Philip went to King Edward VII's Hospital "as a precautionary measure, on the advice of His Royal Highness’s Doctor." However, on March 1, the Palace revealed he was transferred to "St Bartholomew’s Hospital where doctors will continue to treat him for an infection, as well as undertake testing and observation for a pre-existing heart condition."

On March 3, Philip "underwent a successful procedure for a pre-existing heart condition," Buckingham Palace shared. "His Royal Highness will remain in hospital for treatment, rest and recuperation for a number of days." Harry's grandfather is now back at King Edward VII's to recuperate.

"It's a lot to take on. But as usual, Elizabeth is handling the stress and sadness with great dignity,” the insider said, noting the family is "rallying around her."

The Queen also had her spirits lifted when she recently received two Corgi puppies. "The Queen is delighted," a source told The Sun of the surprise gift.

"They have only been there a couple of weeks but are said to be adorable and made the castle their home," the source added. "Both are said to be bringing in a lot of noise and energy into the castle while Prince Philip is in the hospital."
