Meghan Markle Advised to 'Copy Princess Kate' to Boost Her Public Popularity and Shake Off 'Diva Duchess' Title
Meghan Markle is once again being compared to Catherine, Princess of Wales, but this time the California duchess is being advised she should "copy" the future queen. This comes as the future queen slowly returns to royal life after beating a cancer diagnosis.
Royal expert Daniela Elser wrote, "The scarcity of Kate has made crystal clear just how precious of a commodity she is. Really what Kate has delivered, inadvertently, is a lesson in the personal economics of demand and supply."
"Harry and Meghan’s value, both commercially and as public figures, has deflated such that things can best be described in 2024 as flaccid," she added. "While Lemonada boasts a stable of impressive names – Julia Louis Dreyfss, Samantha Bee — this deal feels like a massive step down from the grand heights of audio giant Spotify and their very deep pockets."
The commentator continued, "Contrast all of this with Kate. The woman [Kate] has not been seen, heard from, or done a single thing in months except continuing to exist and her stock has never been higher."
This insight follows additional reports suggesting the pair "use their star power differently as both royal women are "personally and professionally" polar opposites.
This led former royal correspondent Jennie Bond to share, "Catherine and Meghan are indeed two very different women and are now on very different paths."
"Everything Catherine does is to help others, the disadvantaged, the young, and now those suffering from cancer," she added. "It's not for money, or fame or self-aggrandizement. It is to help people who are in trouble or difficulty and to do good."
She then stated, "I believe Meghan is also using her star power to bring attention to certain causes and people who need help. The campaign that she and Harry have started to limit the dangers of the digital world to our children is admirable. But she is also very active in the commercial world."
The Duchess of Sussex is currently involved in several projects of a more commercial nature, which the future queen "could never attempt." Meghan is said to be working on a Netflix cooking series, and a new podcast for Lemonada Media, both reportedly due for release early next year.
With this in mind, Bond further observed, "There is nothing wrong with that — Harry and Meghan were quite transparent when they left the royal family that they wanted the freedom to earn their living in the commercial world, so we should not be surprised when we see her building her brand."
Reports suggest that the Duchess of Sussex and Princess of Wales have not spoken a single word to one another since September 2022.
