King Willem-Alexander made a passionate and empowering speech at the Wind Meets Gas symposium, which took place on Thursday, October 7, in the Netherlands.

“'Each of you needs to take advantage of the fantastic opportunities of offshore wind and green hydrogen. Each of you has a piece of the solution in hand,'" a caption via Instagram read. "In his opening speech at the Wind Meets Gas symposium, the King emphasized the connection needed between energy experts and policy makers on the latest developments in the energy transition in relation to hydrogen, in particular green hydrogen. The theme of the symposium in the Martinikerk in Groningen is the role of the North Sea area in accelerating and scaling up the energy transition and striving to be climate neutral by 2050."
Geeking out! The prince even got to try out some fun new gadgets during the event.

Holthausen / Hyzon Motors from Winschoten specializes in the production of hydrogen-powered trucks," the message read. "In a 'Hydrogen Valley,' production, distribution, storage and local end use of hydrogen are brought together in various demonstration projects. Finally, the King is viewing a photo exhibition on activities and employment associated with the development of the hydrogen chain in the region."
