Remembering the Good Times: King Charles Keeps Photos of Prince Harry All Over Clarence House
Queen Camilla met with Ukraine's First Lady Olena Zelenska at Clarence House on Friday, February 29, and the candid tour around the royal residence revealed much about King Charles III's love for Prince Harry. The fiery-haired prince's images over the years were found mainly in the House's Garden Room.
Images of the King and Queen together, as well as snaps of the late Queen Elizabeth II and the current second in line to the throne, Prince George, 10, can be seen all over the room.
Of particular interest to many royal observers, the photos of Harry were all from the 1990s or 2000s, with no newer images of the fifth in line to the throne since he first met his wife, Meghan Markle, in 2016. "One would at least expect to see a wedding picture amongst the mix," a palace insider spilled when referencing Harry and Meghan's marriage ceremony in May 2018.
This revelation comes amid reports suggesting that the King is "making contingency plans" for his will as he battles an unknown form of cancer. These considerations are said to not include Harry or Meghan Markle.
There is a carefully mapped out contingency plan in place if the king is unable to carry out public-facing engagements over the coming months, and none of these involve Prince Harry," royal expert Katie Nicholl told an outlet.
The Duke of Sussex, along with Meghan, infamously left the monarchy in early 2020 in a scandal that is forever known as "Megxit."
Prince Harry is reportedly set to sporadically return to the U.K. to help King Charles III during his continuing cancer treatment. Friends of the Montecito Duke have told an outlet that the fifth in line to the throne will even work as a typical senior royal during these visits, breaking his four-year-long absence from the royal stage.
Speaking on Good Morning America on Friday, February 16, the fiery-haired prince shared: "I have got many trips planned that will take me through the U.K. or back to the U.K., so I will my family as much as I can."
When asked by one of the hosts to share his outlook on His Majesty's health, the Duke of Sussex replied: "That stays between me and him."
"The brothers are barely speaking so the idea of William wanting Harry to come back and represent the firm is both laughable and unthinkable." a royal insider dished. "The advice was for Harry to leave it a while and come to see his father in Sandringham while he was recuperating, but there was a big rush for Harry to come and see his father. It was all very last minute hence why the meeting was so short."
GBN reported on Harry's photos.
