'So Very Awkward': Kate Middleton & Prince William Slammed After Posting Same Photo & Message For Archie’s Second Birthday
Yikes! Prince William and Kate Middleton wrote a sweet message to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's son, Archie, on his second birthday. However, fans noticed that something was a bit off.
“Wishing Archie a very happy 2nd birthday today,” Kate and William's Instagram account captioned a photo of the royal family at Archie's christening in 2019.
After the photo was online, fans pointed out that the mom-of-three, 39, and William, 38, posted the same message and photo one year ago.
One fan wrote, “This is so very awkward,” while another added, “Wished they posted a different picture, looks like they just reposted it and changed [the] year from last year.”
Other people pointed out that there aren't many photos to choose from. "Such a shame they have no other pictures of him with the families and his cousins," one person said.
On the other hand, some fans praised William and Kate for publicly posting on social media, since the dad-of-three and his brother, Harry, are currently not on good terms.
One person wrote, "So classy! That's very kind and sweet despite Meghan not being very kind," while another person echoed, "The Cambridges are just a class act ... just showing the right way to do it."
Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall also sent Archie some love on his special day.
Harry and William were seen talking after the funeral service, but it seems like the brothers still have a long way to go before they make up.
"The idea that Harry's suddenly going to come around to William's way of thinking, and vice versa, I think is a way off," royal expert Katie Nicholl insisted. "I think there do need to be more conversations, there's clearly still a lot of hurt, a lot of resentment, and a degree of mistrust on both parts."
