Kate Middleton is feeling the birthday love! On Sunday, January 9, the Duchess turned 40 years old, and Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles and more made sure to give her a special shout-out.
On Queen Elizabeth's Instagram account, the message read, "🎈Wishing The Duchess of Cambridge a very happy 40th birthday today!"
Additionally, there were four photos of the brunette beauty alongside the Queen, 95.
Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall's Instagram page posted some photos of Kate, writing, "Wishing The Duchess of Cambridge a very happy 40th birthday today! 🎂."
In response, fans flooded the comments section with upbeat messages. One person wrote, "Wishing The Duchess of Cambridge a Happy Birthday ❤️❤️❤️," while another added, "Happy birthday Your Royal Highness 🥳."
A third user added, "Happy Birthday to Duchess Kate❤️."
In honor of the milestone day, the mom-of-three also shared three beautiful photos on her Instagram page.
"Delighted to share a new portrait of The Duchess ahead of her 40th birthday tomorrow. This is one of three new portraits which will enter the permanent collection of the @nationalportraitgallery, of which The Duchess is Patron," the caption read, which showed Kate wearing a white, flowy dress.
"The three new portraits which have been released to mark the occasion will be shown in the community in three meaningful places: Berkshire, St Andrews, and Anglesey, as part of the @NationalPortraitGallery nationwide ‘Coming Home’ exhibition, ahead of the Gallery reopening in 2023," the message read, which featured a photo of Kate wearing a one-shoulder dress and sporting a pair of diamond earrings, which belong to Queen Elizabeth.
The third photo featured a close-up shot of Kate. "Thank you for all of your very kind birthday wishes, and to Paolo and the National Portrait Gallery for these three special portraits. C," the note read.
This year, Kate is keeping her celebrations simple, as COVID-19 cases are surging around the world.
"Her 40th birthday is likely to be celebrated privately," commentator Richard Fitzwilliams shared. "Covid restrictions remain in place, this means that it is likely to be scaled down and she reportedly didn’t want a large celebration anyway. A new photograph is expected to be released."
