Kate Middleton Debuts Stunning New Ring as Princess of Wales Shares a Personal Health Triumph in 'Emotional' Video
Diana, Princess of Wales' sapphire engagement ring has been worn by her daughter-in-law, Catherine, Princess of Wales, for years until now.
In the future queen's recent "emotional" video announcing the successful end of her cancer treatments, HRH's new eternity band, likely a gift from Prince William, could briefly be seen on Kate's left ring finger.
One royal fan on X commented about the band, "Prince William certainly has good taste, but Diana's ring is a Kate staple."
The new ring was also briefly glimpsed in August when the Prince and Princess of Wales joined rapper Snoop Dogg to congratulate Team Great Britain's achievements in the Paris Summer 2024 Olympics.
The future queen is officially cancer-free and shared in the "moving" new clip on @kensingtonroyal's official social accounts, "As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment. The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family," HRH then poignantly added. "Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown."
"The cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you," the next Queen consort continued. "With humility, it also brings you face to face with your own vulnerabilities in a way you have never considered before, and with that, a new perspective on everything."
After what seemed like "endless months" to royal watchers, the Princess of Wales finally revealed the good news in the clip, where HRH also highlighted how she was able to reconnect with her family during treatment. "This time has above all reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted. Of simply loving and being loved. Doing what I can to stay cancer-free is now my focus."
"Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes. I am however looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can," she concluded.
Her Royal Highness appeared, in the words of one fashion critic, "elegantly dressed-down," with her hair free-flowing in the late summer breeze in Norfolk. The next queen wore a Veronica Beard floral dress with minimalist earrings to match the bling of her new band.
It is not known when the Princess of Wales' next engagement will be, however, the senior royal did hint that she would make more public appearances before the year is out.
