Kate Middleton's Cozy Escape: Princess of Wales' Favorite TV Show Revealed by Close Friend
When she’s away from the public eye and the royal spotlight, Catherine, Princess of Wales, 42, finds solace in a well-rounded and grounded routine at home. Known for her dedication to family and her active lifestyle, Kate manages to balance her royal duties with time to unwind and stay connected to her hobbies.
This includes binge-watching her all-time favorite TV show, according to a friend.
According to a pal, HRH has a soft spot for the classic TV show Friends, which has remained one of her favorite ways to relax.
"She's very hands-on at home," another Wales family friend revealed. "Kate is the kind of person who enjoys doing things herself. She’s involved in her children’s lives, making sure they’re outdoors and staying active. She’s never one to sit idle."
It’s no surprise that the mother-of-three still has a penchant for simple, fulfilling activities, especially those that keep her connected to her roots.
In fact, these traits are said to have all started in school back in 1996, at a time when the next Queen consort was a "pale and thin" student battling eczema.
Kate’s secondary education at Marlborough College provided a foundation for her active lifestyle, the first pal dished. As a student, she took full advantage of the school’s offerings, immersing herself in the social and athletic aspects of campus life. Kate quickly became known for her warmth and discipline, traits that endeared her to both classmates and faculty.
While she enjoyed academic success, her real strength emerged on the sports field. She became co-captain of the tennis team and displayed impressive skills as a hockey player, often rallying her teammates with enthusiasm and a competitive spirit that still defines her today.
Another friend from Marlborough recalled, "Kate was always a natural leader. She was calm but determined, and she knew how to inspire others without being pushy. On the tennis court or hockey field, she had this knack for rallying everyone together."
That determination carried through to her royal roles, where Kate remains active in British sports organizations. Today, she serves as the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, as well as the Rugby Football Union and the Rugby Football League, representing the same values she embodied in her school years.
Her post-cancer lifestyle today is a modern extension of her younger years, which led sources close to the family to reveal that Kate’s approach to relaxation is all about quality over quantity.
Whether she’s spending time at Anmer Hall or Kensington Palace, her focus is on creating a happy, healthy environment for her family. And while her royal commitments keep her busy, Kate’s friends agree she’s mastered the art of balance.
"She finds joy in simplicity," her friend concludes, "which is what keeps her so grounded."
