Prince Albert Reveals Birthday Plans For His Twins Prince Jacques & Princess Gabriella
Prince Albert's twins, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, turned 7 on Friday, December 10, and since their mother, Princess Charlene, is currently in a facility, he is going all out for the big day.
The birthday party will be held on Saturday, December 11, and four schoolmates and several cousins will be in attendance.
"They'll have seen the Spongebob decorations in one courtyard entrance, so they may have suspicions. But they haven't seen the party room yet," he shared. "I have a few things in mind. To be truthful, I'm working more on their Christmas gifts."
Albert is hoping that the tots will get to see their mom in the near future.
"It's what we most hope for, but there is no definite date at this time," he said.
In the meantime, "Jacques and Gabriella are now being educated at the palace," Albert told Paris Match.
"We have since set up a small classroom," he explained. "They are not alone, since four of their friends, two boys and two girls, have joined them there, with the same teachers as if they were in their school."
After rumors swirled about Princess Charlene's whereabouts when she returned home from South Africa, the prince cleared the air.
"She was clearly exhausted, physically and emotionally. She was overwhelmed and couldn't face official duties, life in general or even family life," he explained.
"Obviously there were consequences of her different surgeries and the procedures she underwent in the last few months," the royal continued. "That certainly was a factor, but at this point I prefer not to comment further. I can say she was suffering incredible fatigue. She hadn't slept well in a number of days and she wasn't eating at all well. She has lost a lot of weight, which made her vulnerable to other potential ailments. A cold or the flu or God help us, COVID."
