Only hours after Prince Harry attended the WellChild Awards in London, on Monday, September 30, Prince William "pulled a Sussex" and surprisingly met up with David Beckham.

The rumored ex-bestie of both Harry and Meghan Markle, along with his wife, Victoria, met the future king at RAF Northolt in West London to celebrate the conclusion of the London Air Ambulance's "Up Against Time," which has raised millions for the purchase of two new helicopters for the unit.

David Beckham and Prince William met at RAF Northolt in West London, on October 1, 2024.

One analyst claimed that the Prince of Wales "beat Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at their own game," which royal expert Kinsey Schofield agreed with.

"After two weeks of bad press since Prince Harry's been gone," the commentator shared. "I just think that she's probably livid right now, based on the reaction that she's getting from all of these stories. She's had to deal with that while Prince Harry's been out of town."

After pointing out Meghan's swirling "Duchess Difficult," staff abuse headlines, Schofield continued, "That's gotta be incredibly hard for her. And then to see this kind of victory moment from Prince William. A victory moment that she would tell you should have been Harry's moment after the WellChild awards, that would be upsetting to her."

This follows the most recent development in the Sussex/Beckham rift when the Primetime Emmy nominations were revealed in July.

David Beckham has been feuding with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle 'for years.'

Hopes were reportedly high with Team Sussex that Netflix's Heart of Invictus would pull through with several nods in the nonfiction categories. Their self-titled blockbuster series the year before received zero mentions from the Academy, which allegedly "devastated" the Duchess of Sussex.

The follow-up program about Harry's Invictus Games failed to hit No. 1 in the streamer's rankings and struggled to even maintain status within the top ten after its August 30, 2023, release.

Beckham became a hit for the streaming giant when it dropped on October 4, of last year. But with both couples having a hit documentary on Netflix between them, it is clear who the Television Academy thinks has the talent. The doc went on to win the Emmy for Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Series.

Prince William has reportedly known the Beckhams 'for years,' but not as closely as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have.

Recent reports also reflected how David sought vengeance against Harry for a 2018 snub allegedly instigated by Meghan.

"Beckham found himself alone at the Invictus Games stadium," author Tom Bower penned in his book House of Beckham. "Arriving on the agreed day to meet Prince Harry he was perplexed why officials were playing a dance to keep him happy, but away from Harry. Photographs of the two together were forbidden. The royal snub was brutal. David Beckham was puzzled. Why did the prince refuse to meet him?"
