"The company NCC Denmark's efforts to help vulnerable young people enter the labor market were today honored with the DI Prize 2021. Her Royal Highness the Crown Princess presented the prize at the DI Summit to NCC for their projects targeted at vulnerable groups' opportunities for education and permanent work," a caption read on Instagram.
The message continued, "NCC’s efforts were launched in 2012 with the 'Business School,' which in the last 10 years has involved 260 young people in the project 'Construction site' in Aarhus. Over 200 of these have received an education, an apprenticeship or a permanent job. The model from the project has since been translated into a job school for refugees and asphalt training for young criminals."
Princess Mary sat in the front row and mingled with others!
"The theme for this year's DI Summit is 'The Land of Opportunities,' and the program focuses on the special situation that Danish companies are in after a year marked by COVID-19. The focal point of the summit was thus the Danish companies' opportunities for new growth, new jobs and new ideas. Prior to the award ceremony, the Crown Princess attended a number of speeches and presentations," a note said of the outing.
Princess Mary even matched with the red carpet and the step and repeat!
Of course, people loved to see the event take place.
One person wrote, "Congratulations👏 I wish more companies would open up to talented vulnerable / vulnerable young people ... they have a lot to offer if only someone will believe in them and give them the chance😍," while another added, "Nice that NCC also takes responsibility 👏."
